More Than 22 "fake" Apple Stores In China, How Many?

Those who travel in China know that fake iPhones false, fake watches, fake Louis Vuitton handbags are everywhere. But it is easy for the average American to find counterfeit goods, most of the Western world was blissfully unaware of any violation of the shops, until recently, that is. Recently, Chinese authorities ordered the closure of two Apple stores in Kunming false, and now a huge 22 were identified. And there are probably many more where that came.

The "Apple store false" story exploded online in late July, when the BirdAbroad blog posted pictures of what looked like and seemed like a legit retail Apple store that the blogger had met while traveling in China but it was later discovered to be a store completely false. The store did not sell fake products customers could buy Apple iPhones iPads real and genuine Macs. And their employees because they were severe, apparently had no idea they were not really working for Apple Store.

In the days following the discovery, Apple has filed a lawsuit against 50 companies brand, and John makes the transfer of fake Apple stores, and authorities ordered two stores of Kunming near zero false, because they have violated any of the marks, but because they did not have their business permits. At that time, the law of China's forces were already aware that it was more of unauthorized trade, which is undoubtedly what led them to found Apple's 22 retail stores is fake. According to Reuters, the Chinese administration of Industry and Commerce has ordered shops to stop the Apple logo after China lodged a protest with the Apple of unfair competition and trademark infringement.

Kunming Business Bureau, government spokesman Chang Puyun reassured Reuters that stores may have been unwarranted, but they have always sold authentic Apple products. "China has taken significant steps to enforce intellectual property rights, and the stores did not sell counterfeit products," said Chang.

Search more than 20 "false" Apple stores seem to be a very large number, but it is likely that signals the beginning of greater repression, and various local governments decide they want to study Chinese in Kunming, at least. In my own (somewhat limited) experience of traveling in different parts of China, it was very easy to find in electronics stores, such as plaster on the Apple logo, as a manifestation of the reality of fantasy acquisition of Steve Jobs world. Sometimes, shops, even sitting across from each other or a line in a row in the same way.

Not all stores are kitsch, especially in wealthier areas, these stores were gradually closer to the aesthetics of Apple for years, so it was a matter of time before someone went to the gold with a head full faux toe. As long as customers get the actual products generally do not care where they come from.

The whole story is just one of many reasons why China remains near the top of the US Trade Representative annual priority list look, highlighting the country that believes the U.S. is the most extreme violators of intellectual property. China has promised for years that it will make more efforts to crack down on various forms of violation of intellectual property rights and Kunming example shows how this really happened, at least in spurts, then we can probably expect to hear more reports of several Apple Stores unauthorized coming months.
