Samsung W200 Waterproof / Sturdy 1080p Camcorder Review


Samsung W200 slipped its "multi-proof" pocket cam for a few months back and we spent the last week to test it on a place that is no stranger to the water (read: the big island of Hawaii). Hailed as a 1080p camcorder pocket waterproof and shockproof, it looks more like a robust version of Cisco Back end HD, and it is certainly one heck of a lot smaller than the Canon PowerShot D10 - a waterproof P & S that we have checked in June '09. Apart from adding high-definition recording capabilities in the palm of your hand Pruney, W200 is the point of sale is the other major Trifecta numbers to the left of the decimal point. At only $ 150 on the street, it is certainly classified as merchandise trade in the category, but is it producing results worthy Laud? Read on for our take!

Design

Starting at 0.28 pounds, measures 2.36 (W) x 4.45-(H) x 0.78 inches (D), the W200 is definitely short for what it is. It 'also a familiar form factor that fits comfortably in your pocket, and one that does not seem hard, despite the harsh. Strangely, the entire outer ring is hard plastic and rubber bumpers. Only the latter have played a vital role to play is easier to grasp with wet hands, but would add a touch of shock protection is sorely lacking (more on that later).
