Possible speculation indicates that both Enthusiasm and Panasonic are not going to launch their new system until possibly later in 2014, and not previously in 2012 or 2013 as would have been predicted. If history is a good sign, most activity playing systems only have a typical daily lifetime of five decades before a new heir is released. For example, Enthusiasm released its first System in 2001 and later System 360 was released four decades later in 2005. In the same way, Panasonic released its Ps3 2 in 2000 with its heir Ps3 five decades later in 2006. Because of the longevity and mobility of the present technology activity playing systems, it is recommended that both companies, Enthusiasm and Panasonic, are seeking for a 10-year life-cycle. If the next technology unit were to be released in 2014, the System 360 would have been around for nine decades, while the PS3 would reach eight decades.
Senior manager of business emails for Panasonic Computer Amusement, Meat Seybold, mentioned that he considers its newest controllers can last over a ten-year period, refuting the conventional 5-year lifecycle for controllers.
Similar to Panasonic, Enthusiasm also recommended in the same route for the new 10-year daily lifetime of its newest activity playing unit. Mature manager for Enthusiasm, Mark Hufford, indicated that the System 360 would have a long life space than its forerunner. Changes to the System 360 through software and components tweeks, such as the add-on Venture Natal, have assisted Xbox’s longevity.
Electronic Arts’ CFO Eric Darkish also confirms that there is not much room for improvements in the present unit market. He considers there is no reason for Enthusiasm or Panasonic to launch a new edition soon. A multibillion-dollar investment in a next technology unit would have to be a huge activity filter as opposed to present foundation.
Nintendo, on the other hand, is taking on a different route on its Wii unit. It is considered the next technology Wii2 will be out earlier, sometime this season or the next in 2012. However, not everyone considers the new technology Wii will become a major hit. Specialist Erina Pachter of Wedbush, mentioned that the possibilities of Wii 2 having much success beyond a launch time frame of 2011 would be little. One of the reasons is HD support, which Ps3 and System 360 have already been integrated into their controllers. Manufacturers is way behind the experience and Pachter does not see them restoring in the near future.
What do you think, will Nintendo’s Wii 2 have powerful sales because of their previously launch time frame ? Should the new System 720 and PS4 come out previously, or do you think the present technology of controllers can still run it fine ?
